The Power of Place: Stewarding the Next Economy

    Eugene KelleyEugene KelleyColorado State University
    Steven BrutgerSteven BrutgerWestern Landowners Alliance

We started the day on the land itself, with a clear-eyed look at what's happening on working lands right now, what the research does and doesn't yet tell us, and why the questions this work raises can't be answered alone.

The Alternative Is Becoming the Standard

Tim CrosbyTim CrosbyThread Fund and TIFS, Natural System Capital

The fund structures and timelines built for the last economy are being replaced, and these two are building the replacements.

  2. 10:30am-12:30pm

In The Field: the power of place

    Trail Creek Ranch

Shuttles departed from the Hardeman barns for a first hand experience on a multi-generation family ranch, with a guided hike with local biologists and land experts to better understand land as an asset.

  3. 1:30pm-2:30pm

    Conversations & Case Studies

    Hardeman Barns

The convening was designed to unlock thinking that professional settings typically suppress. Participants operated with the courage to surface new ideas, challenge the assumptions capital decisions are built on, and make commitments to build a multi-stakeholder model that promotes a more resilient future. The format was conversation, not presentations.

$80+ trillion is transferring to a generation that chooses where capital goes, who manages it, and what risk is worth holding.

Drawing on perspectives from family offices and advisors, how long-term investors navigate complexity to allocate capital with purpose, discipline, and conviction.

The Decision to Build: Taking the Seat of Responsibility

    Eden SimmerEden SimmerPIMCO, UpLevel
    Federica RothFederica RothGeneral Catalyst

What global fund managers across every asset class are seeing: how institutional capital is being rebuilt for the next generation, and what it takes to fund the markets that haven't caught up yet.

  4. 3:00pm-5:00pm

    Challenge: a live deal session

This was the apex of the day: the point where the day's conversations turned into action. Small, cross-industry working groups spent two guided hours working out what it would actually take to build a multi-stakeholder model for a resilient future, leaving with a concrete starting point to carry forward.

  5. 5:45pm-6:30pm

    Live raptor demonstration

The Teton Raptor Center is a local nonprofit dedicated to raptor conservation, research, and education in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem. A live birds-of-prey demonstration closed the afternoon at Hardeman Barn. Hawks, eagles, and falcons up close. A direct encounter with the physical world the day's conversations pointed toward.

  6. 6:45pm

    Cocktail Hour & Chefs Table

    Private Residence

Cocktail Hour on the lawn, followed by a seated Chef's Table dinner prepared by Michelin-starred Chef Malyna Si. A locally sourced menu grounded the experience in place.
